Itinerary Day 1. Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Walpa Gorge, Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sunset
Arrive at Ayers Rock Airport before 1.00 p.m. and be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon we drive out to Kata Tjuta, a magnificent cluster of 36 rocky domes that dominate the western skyline of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and was once a monolith larger than Uluru. Join a walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge, where some of the plants are so rare that they are only found in and around these distinct sandstone monoliths. Late this afternoon, stop and enjoy a glass of wine with our compliments as you watch Uluru at sunset. Admire the ever-changing colours of Uluru as the sun sinks beneath the desert plain. Tonight you might like to enjoy the Uluru Aussie Barbecue (additional cost)
